SEO On-Page Optimization
On- page optimization in SEO is a practice that changes or optimize the title and other parts of the webpage to make the page easily available to the Google. In short, the overall optimization done inside the webpage is called SEO On-page optimization.
An HTML
contains 2 main parts. That is, the head and the body part. The head part is
comprised of title and meta description and the body part comprised of the
content. To get a clear understanding about the webpage, the Google first identify
the URL to get a hint about the webpage. Then the Google go through with the
title, meta description and body part and make it clear that what kind of
webpage it is.
Snippet means a short description of a webpage that appears in the search result. Basic snippet consists of a URL, meta title and meta description. While searching in a mobile, a Favicon can also be seen in the snippet.
Methods of On-page optimization
(1 (1) Title optimization
Title optimization means optimizing the title with suitable keywords and making it to meaningful sentence. While optimizing the title, some factors should be considered:

There should be spelling and
grammatical mistake.

Number of characters must be within
the limit of 55-60.
·
Pixel width limitation must be 512.
·
Usage of full capital letters and
small letters should be avoided.
·
It should be attractive.
Click Through Rate (CTR)
refers to a metric that calculate the ratio of users who clicked on the
hyperlink to the total number of users who saw the hyperlink. In short, it is used to see how many users clicked on the snippet of your page.
(2) Meta Description Optimization
Meta
Description Optimization means optimizing the description of the webpage and
make it more relevant by adding the focusing keyword at least once. If the
Google identifies that the description is not apt for the page, it will take the
content of the body part as the description. There are some factors should be
considered while optimizing. They are:

It should be unique, brief and
attractive.

If it is a page, the character count
should be 155-160 and if it is a blog post or article post or news post, the
character count should not exceed 155.
·
The pixel width should be 1024
Robot meta tag is a tag that
is used to give instructions to the bot whether to follow or index a page. It
is included in the basic meta tag.

(3) Body section Optimization
Heading is
the most visible part of the body section. This heading tag must be free from
grammatical and spelling mistakes. It can have 7 to 8 words. It is better to
one H1 in the body part. If there is more than one H1tag and the bot find it is
contradictory to each other while crawling, it will get confused and save it to
the sandbox. Sandbox is temporary database that the bot used to save confused
webpages.
It is better to give only one
H2 tag to a page. If it is long article, more than one H2 tag can be used. All
the tags used in a page should match with the content.
(4) Content Optimization
Content optimization means making the content simpler
and presenting in a way to the users to understand easily. It should be written
in short sentences and reading easiness should be considered. It is better to
use focusing keyword in the starting section of the content so that the users
can identify what the page is about.
(5) Keyword Optimization
Keyword density is the total percentage of times a focusing keyword occur in the webpage when compared to the total word count. The Google don’t consider the keyword density. But no ranking will be given to the page if there is no keyword. At least one keyword should be used in the webpage.
(6) Anchor Tag Optimization
Anchor tag is a tag that is used to add Hyperlinks to the webpage which helps the Google to boost up the crawling process. Anchor text is the most visible portion of the content section. Anchor text and keyword should not be the same. Because it leads the viewers to another website that use the same keyword and the Google take this link as a recommendation vote. Thus, our website will lose its rating.
Internal links are those links
provided in the webpage that navigates the users to other pages of the website.
It helps to increase the internal navigation as well as the trust of the
webpage. It also helps to reduce the bounce rate.
(7) Image Optimization
Image optimization means optimizing the images to enhance the user experience as well as it helps to rank the image in image searches on Google. It mainly consists of an Alt attribute, file name and content. Alt optimization is done to make clear that what kind of image is added to the page. The Alt name and the file name must be same.
